Child Psychiatry Translational Research Fellowship

Description

The NIMH T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship for Translational Research in Child Psychiatric Disorders is available to child psychiatrists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists, and psychologists who seek training in the conduct of translational research in childhood psychopathology. Research opportunities are focused across areas of faculty expertise, including the study of animal models of neurodevelopmental conditions, fMRI- and EEG-informed clinical trials, and the implementation and dissemination of clinical interventions. Mentorship is from internationally recognized researchers with strong track records in basic neuroscience, neuroimaging, psychopharmacology, epidemiology, and intervention research.

Candidates can elect to work in any of the numerous basic neuroscience, epidemiology, or clinical treatment laboratories affiliated with the program. Training in research design, management, and ethics; scientific writing; oral presentation; and grant preparation are offered across thematic areas of research.

We particularly encourage applicants with identities that have historically been underrepresented in science, including those from minoritized or economically disadvantaged backgrounds and people with disabilities.
